  • Recognize and report deficiencies in fire alarms, emergency lighting, egress signage, and fire-rated assemblies.
  • Apply NFPA and IBC standards during inspections to evaluate compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Understand the inspector’s role, scope, and limitations in evaluating life safety systems and documenting violations.
